As Store Manager you are as passionate about running our store as we are. What we expect from you on a day-to-day basis:

  • Manage all day-to-day operations of the store in accordance with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, Ontario Employment Standards, Human Rights Legislation and Standard Operating Procedures set by Insalata Cannabis Market
  • Maintain a high level of product and industry knowledge
  • Propose and implement action plans to improve results, generate sales for each product category creating new clients and reactivating former ones
  • Demonstrate and lead an outstanding customer service experience and establish a sales culture focused on building and increasing customer retention and brand awareness
  • Create a supportive environment to develop and motivate staff through training, goal setting, performance monitoring and timely feedback delivery
  • Recruit staff with specific qualifications and skills that meet company and market standards
  • Contribute to the overall profitability of the retail store by driving efficient operational excellence and leading customer experiences
  • Enforce company policies while adhering to proper procedures regarding disciplinary action
  • Responsible for all shop opening and closing procedures
  • Adhere to and uphold loss prevention systems
  • Complete all necessary administrative paperwork in a timely manner including approving staff work schedules and ensuring appropriate shop coverage
  • Control daily invoices and petty cash and take necessary actions to effectively control costs
  • Responsible for management and maintenance of cycle counts, inventory accuracy and shrink requirements
  • Review and submit sales and operational reports to management
  • Create relationships with local businesses and participate in community events
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Strong leadership skills, with an emphasis on managing, training, coaching and mentoring a high performing team in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Ability to train and develop staff to meet goals and give clear direction on assigned duties and performance expectations
  • Strong, decisive, action-oriented, decision making and/or recommendation abilities
  • Ability to monitor and control employment costs and inventory levels ensuring budget targets are met
  • Ability to analyze sales reports, identify business trends and provide input on programs, policies and initiatives to drive business results
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing environments and possess expertise and confidence to lead and effect change
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and execution skills
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Knowledge of Point of Sale and/or Inventory Management system applications
  • Knowledge of Local, Provincial, and Federal Laws and Regulations pertaining to Retail Cannabis
  • Experience with social media and customer/community engagement is an asset
  • A flexible schedule (weekdays, weekends and evenings)
  • CanSell certification and Cannabis Retail Manager Licence or ability to obtain

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Cannaisseurs is a brand ambassador extraordinaire. You are exceptional at developing authentic relationships with our customers and creating intentional customer experiences. You are thoughtful and curious, driven by your passion to impart cannabis wisdom and achieve sales targets. In short, you are Insalata Cannabis!

What we expect from you on a day-to-day basis:

  • Adhere to all Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and Standard Operating Procedures set by Insalata Cannabis Market
  • Develop and maintain deep product knowledge within the complete range of new and current products available for purchase
  • Demonstrate a high level of cannabis knowledge and curate individual experiences that go above and beyond expectations
  • Generate sales for each product category and attract new and repeat clients
  • Use real-time technology to match available inventory with customer needs and process sales efficiently and accurately
  • Greet guests as they enter the store, checking identification and assessing intoxication
  • Defuse difficult situations with customers in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Maintain store aesthetic by cleaning, stocking, organizing and following merchandising plans
  • Assist in asset protection and loss prevention by reporting any suspicious incidents to management immediately
  • Assist the management team in interacting with regulatory inspectors and reporting on their activities
  • Recommend solutions and address opportunities for improvement in all areas of compliance, health and safety
  • Complete tasks as assigned by the Store Manager and/or Owners

It would be great if you have:

  • CanSell certification or a willingness to obtain
  • General knowledge of and/or an appetite for learning about cannabis, accessories and consumption methods
  • Minimum 2 years retail customer service experience, preferably in a knowledge based, high volume environment (bonus points if from a regulated industry)
  • An engaging personality that translates naturally into an ability to suggestive sell
  • Positive energy and can adapt quickly to whatever opportunities the day brings
  • Ability to use POS system and inventory management functions
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • A willingness to receive feedback and coaching
  • Demonstrated integrity and personal responsibility
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 13 Kg and to stand for long periods of time
  • Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends
  • First aid training a plus
  • A desire to have fun, laugh and support the customer and team member journey along the way

Inventory Associate

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Inventory Associate has an immediate impact on sales and customer satisfaction by ensuring that products are delivered seamlessly into our guests’ hands. Your super-power is your attention to detail and you excel at being 100% accurate, 100% of the time. If you thrive in a high-energy, high-volume environment, this role is for you!

What we expect from you on a day-to-day basis:

  • Maintain the security of all vault assets in strict accordance with Insalata Cannabis Market Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Receive daily deliveries and accurately record transactions in the tracking system
  • Pick orders and verify for accuracy prior to delivery to designated areas
  • Conduct physical inventory count
  • Maintain stockroom to optimize efficiency for receiving, picking and inventory count

It would be great if you have:

  • CanSell certification or a willingness to obtain
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory and order picking, ideally customer-facing
  • Exceptional detail orientation and attention to accuracy
  • A strong sense of urgency to deliver a stellar customer experience within a team environment
  • Data entry skills and knowledge of basic accounting and/or inventory practices
  • Physical ability to regularly unload, put away and carry product up to 25 kg
  • Endurance to stand for extended periods of time and to move up and down multiple flights of stairs throughout a shift
  • Ability to investigate and problem-solve for discrepancies and variances
  • General knowledge of and/or an interest in learning about cannabis, accessories and consumption methods
  • Post secondary education focused on Purchasing/Inventory Control/Supply Chain Management a plus
  • Availability to work on all shifts
